Hold the dream

Hold the dream

A Poem by Pebbles

Holding tight to a dream one minute
The next I see it slipping from my grasp
Alone on this cobbled ground
Forgotten and forsaken
By the one whos love I desire
Crumpled feelings of misplacement
Uncomplicated in the moment
turned to nothing but confusion
To hold the hand so tender in this moment of desire
You breathed the air back into my lungs and yet
Where are you now
In the arms of another
I dare not think
But dream much to often
Sleeplessness keeps dreams at bay
But they haunt me with hallucinations
The demons of my mind in which you reside
Rip out my soul
Because i no longer wish to be here
Rip out my mind for I need to rest a while
From the images of you naked against the skin of another
rip out my heart so that i no longer feel this pain
I would of sliced the skin from my body
And let the blood run free
But then how would I find you
Wandering in the mist of your own confusion
Tell me my love
When did love die for you
Was it as you held me under the sheets of your desire
Was it during the moment of complete confusion
In which life took back your heart from me
And threw you back to the wind from whence you came into my vision
Tonight I will lay in the light of the moon
and bless the earth below your feet in which you walk
Bless your heart that bleeds
For the love in my heart though mottled with pain
Stretchs across moments
And holds memories so dear
