Friend

Friend

A Poem by Pebbles

Today you shared the secrets of your heart
Yesterday I called you my friend
Today Your proved your friendship was real
Yesterday you openned up all the hurt and spilt it onto my plate for me to taste
Today my friend I hope you have travelled lighter
When darkness surrounds us we reach out
Sometimes in all directions
Like madmen looking for saftey
I still have a sour taste clinging to the roof of my mouth
I know this taste of darkness and guilt will hold tight to your soul
But the world beckons you home
Beckons you forward
One day I hope to see the sun shining in your eyes
I hope to taste the freedom and happinness
You spill upon my plate so proudly
In recollection of another time
This my friend
Is your new begining
Use it wisely
For chances to make things right are far and few between
My friend
Today you dropped the barriers
And became my friend
Not only in name but also in spirit
Thankyou
