Bring to me what I askA Poem by PebblesSomewhere between illusion and reality I lie waiting To touch your face in summer Underneath the flowing stream Of yesterdays heartbeat My blind eyes see no more So to feel upon your dirt or grace is all I have now Wait there in dreams I will follow When I get the time But for now look into your own eyes Mirrors seldom lie But they can If you look through them to wonderland Because wonderland is for white rabbits and queens The love heart tattooed upon your arm Tells me of a lady you once knew Did she kill you from the inside Leave you barren and bare Like a naked child at birth Speak not of her She has spent her karma And sits in corners of her own mind Remembering the love you gave She has swollowed life whole And now it swollows her Reflections of self are true only to self Be thee wise Turn and gaze not into the mirror But upon the morning dew which soaks the blade of grass before dawn Here if you listen carefully You will hear the voice of freedom Bring it to me And my heart is yours to keep for a life time Be warned Even the beautiful rose has thorns I will try not to scratch But its not something I promise Peacefully now Im sleeping .. © 2011 PebblesReviews
