Two sides of a penny

Two sides of a penny

A Poem by Pebbles

In the madness of my mind
I sit in silence
when all I want to do is shout
At the top of my voice
Letting go
Of something I don't quite understand
This mad world Shows me
why I'm not to trust a soul
And I think I can distroy
Myself with self pity
Move on
Because no one here is the least impressed
With your hungry desires of self loathing
We all journey through our pain
Finding the right note
The symphony which soothes our souls
Leaving us free to understand our selves
If that then leaves us free to
Understand the next man
Then so be it
Within my madness
A penny drops
I pick it up and polish all that it is
Holding it up to the light
I can now see it shine

This is wonderful Pebbles. No every dog we meet does not bite. We have to trust our hearts and our instincts.

Most Excellent :) a mind come through the darkness to see the light again.

I take great pleasure in reading this because so often we think that the penny is so tarnished it will never shine again.. and we sometimes need to be the one that takes the time to pick it up, rub it with a cloth to see the inner shine.. I love this Peb's..and I think we need to look for the shine more often ;) x

This is very heartwarming :)
I can feel & see the poetry's setting in my mind. Well written, and I really enjoyed reading this. Most importantly; I do that too. Polishing picked up pennies and seeing the light reflected, I mean :)
