So be it

So be it

A Poem by Pebbles

I walked away from feathered pillows

With what i thought was a new understanding of self

When now I find myself longing for a new understanding

Because what I thought I knew

Has changed

The pattern doesnt fit the slot

The thinking doesnt fit my heart

And my soul is left aching

For feathers to lie upon

And memories to hold

Fear binds like ivy to my heart

Poison releases its evil

And the sunrise looks so dull within this frame

Hold your understanding to yourself

Hold your breath before you speak your truths

For they may be the truths of today

But tomorrow has its own agenda

Look above you

Can you but hold for a moment

The feeling

Of when your eyes first met

That awkward moment when lips touched

And love ignited

Hold me back from myself

I am not safe

For she holds me within her skin

And my spirit is trapped forever

Let each layer fall like auturm leaves upon the ground

Where I wil step lightly

Im going home

To feel the feathers fall upon my brow

And my lovers arms wil surround me like the wings of angels

Our paths are to cross once more

So be it

I say

So be it
