Prized Possession

Prized Possession

A Poem by Mar
"

An idea I had floating around and put into words

"

They sat on the couch
Her in his arms
The big game on TV
She asked him to hold her
He said that he was
She continued

“Like your prized possession”

He laughed
Said she was his
She smiled
Told him not to lie
And mentioned the ball

The one in his room
Signed by the team

Secretly she hoped
He would deny it
Secretly she hated
That he squeezed tighter
