No Tears

I wrote this to no one in particular

 

No Tears

You can rip out my heart

Smash it into the floor

Stake me

Choke me

Drown me

I'll put on a fake smile

And say, "I can handle it."

But I won't cry

 

You can humiliate me

Crush my soul to nothing

Trick me

Deceive me

Hate me

I'll laugh about it

And lie, "You meant nothing." 

But I won't cry

 

You can say I'm meaningless

And try to stab me in the back

Kill me

Haunt me

Torture me

I'll spit in your face

And give you empty threats

But I will not cry

 

I will not cry

Because I will

Never

Fall to someone like you

Love it! It really triggers the emotions in multiple ways. I especially liked in the last stanza how you said you'd never fall "to" someone like you instead of "for" someone like you. I don't know if it was intentionally planned that way, but it creates such a strong close to a great poem!

Fall to someone like you"........this last line settle it all...i really like it.a very nice poem...seriously.your emotional fit is really great....

But I will not cry".i also liked these lines..it just show the aggression and attitude in it.this poem really carries a very strong emotion..great work keep doing like this

I like the way the paragraphs mimic each other up until the last closing statement. I think this is set apart from every other poem about break ups and romance because it gives something deeper than everyone can relate to; not only people going through a bad romance. I think, for a poem, it has a lot of potential. Just do a little tweaking to make it better and better. Remember, nothing can ever be too perfect :)
