Crash Land

Crash Land

A Poem by RachelReaper

I wrote this poem a few years ago, maybe you can relate sometimes.

Crash Land

   Do you know that feeling

   when you get so far

it feels like your souring above the rest

and you realize you're afraid of heights?

   When you see that

   you're just another broken bird

   with mismatched wings

and there's no one to catch you on the

   W

   Y

        B

   A

        C

   I thought I could fly,

so why am I crashing down?

   It feels like I'm falling

   back to the ground.

This takes the reader into that earth sinking, gut wrenching moment and holds them their with you as you fall. Truly a great piece of work! :)

I love the formatting you used! It remind me of a ladder. Great own with intruiging lines and is easily relatable. It has a good flow, nice job! :)

soaring :)
this feels musical, like lyrics. the layout is interesting too - kind of an extra dimension with the words coming apart and each letter being scattered. just like those dreams of flying, scared you're dying at the same time.

I know this feeling very well. I feel like this all the time with everything that i do and I think that is why you wrote this obivously lol because we all can relate to it. To me it is saying that everyone feels as if they are going to fail but the point that we need to tell ourselves is that we need to try our hardest but that is kind of hard to do when no one is there cheering you on or there to catch us when we fall.

This reminds me of tom petty and the heartbreakers "learning to fly". Sorry music is my way to escape so when I compare poems to them its really a compliment. Good write and yeah I can kina relate
