Girl of Ice

Girl of Ice

A Poem by RachelReaper
"

A poem inspired by the movie "Rise of the Guardians"

"

Girl of Ice

Once was a girl

Hair, skin, eyes

All together a

Striking white

Lips frozen blue

Made under

Winter's full Moon

"Find Jack Frost,

You were created

To fall in love and

Both hearts will

Fly like a dove"

Said the Moon

The girl went out

To find the key,

Surely Frost would

See her beauty

As she looked

A magical force

Came while she

Was on her search

"The Guardians"

Would steal away

Her existence

In under a single day

Santa, Bunny, Fairy, Sandy

Santa called them

All to order

To find they needed

Another member

His staff,

His tricks and charms

And icy winds

Jack Frost became

One with the

Guardians

But what of the girl?

Left behind

Hanging suspended

In her own demise

She failed her

Very quest

Not finding love

With Jack was not

Part of the test

He was a

Guardian and

Not coming back

And she thought,

"Oh my dear Jack"

Thirty days

Was her limit

Day twenty nine

She did find him

Inducted into

A fully fledged

Guardian

And struck to her

Core she knew

She had

Not succeeded

Too late,

She was defeated

He never knew

She was there

And day thirty one

The Moon was aware

It punishes

Those who fail

And the next day

When the girl

Felt like a

Shell of herself

The Moon locked

Her in an

Imprisoning crystal

Arm outstretched

For as long

As forever

Eyes read promises

Of frosty never and

Chilling despair

Mid scream

Ice chokes the

Name still on

Her lips

Trapped in an

Illuminant Glacier

She shivers

Under Arctic waters

Jack Frost still

The only one who

Could save her

The one never told,

Girl of Ice

The character I created, The girl, was not a character in the movie "The Rise of the Guardians" but every other character I mentioned was. What did you think of this? Reviews are greatly appreciated!

I think I WANT the "Girl of Ice", and keep her!! : ) I felt like I went on a trip through my dreams and allowed for you to be my guide...... Wait a minute....Hmmmm Is Rachel the Girl of Ice? I did not see this movie you speak of unless it's the owl one. If it's the owl one, I like it... the movie. But, if it's something else, I don't have a clue. I LOVE all your poems, so this was a very cool poem to end my session on the site!! xoxo -Mark
