Church Top

Church Top

A Poem by RachelReaper
"

inspired by what I see when i look out my window

"

Church Top

Tall, silver cross

Upright on the church top

Snowfall attacks with pure white bullets from all sides

Icy shards stab deep,

Drawing blood

How

Do

You

Stand so strong?

Author's Note

RachelReaper
There is this Church outside my window and today was the first day of snow in my town, which inspired me to write this. Hope you enjoyed and you will review :) also, the picture of the church is not the church outside my window, its just that I needed a picture...

That would be a really awesome image to be able to look at. All I have outside is my window is a long steep road down my hill; it goes out to the main road where all the old steal mills are.

I liked your description of the cross. It was also nice that you described the snow as attacking the cross. That gave a natural element a deeper personality.

thank you!
You live next to a church? That must be pretty. I live in a neighborhood of near-cookie-cutter wanna-be-suburbia XP Especially with the snow! what a wonderful image, yet such uncertainty in your piece. Dark, doubting. Makes me think of a child growing up to believe in something but not understanding how it all fits together. Very nicely done. ~em

amazing description of your view and how you see it. It would be really neat to have you write another one about the things you don't see around the church top.
