Across the World

I wrote this poem because it means something to me

Across the World

We'll cross the oceans

And next the continents

Because I'll always adventure

In any weather

As long as I have you

 

Let's scale the Rockies

And Mt. McKinley

Sail all of the seven seas

And we'll like the sights we see

 

Through the Sahara

To the Aurora

The lights will dance

Above our heads

In the snow and sand we'll prance

 

Go into the city

Streetlights so pretty

As they illuminate the dark

In Grand Central Park

 

Then we'll sleep in a taxi

Driving to Sydney

Where we'll pet koala bears

And ignore the blatant stares

As we sneak one out

Of the zoo with care

 

Off to the Amazon

Where we'll have lots of fun

Tangled in mosquito nets

That leopard may be a threat

 

And before we go home

We'll have one last show

Climbing through the snow

Up to Mt. Everest

 

Because we know we must be

The best of the very best

This is really good and different! That's why I like it too. I have always wanted to travel across the world too, to different places and explore other things to do. Maybe one day that'll happen. I'm guessing the person that's traveling with you is either your crush or boyfriend. Anyways, I don't know why but I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas. It seems like such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. But I agree with you, Rachael. I also like how this poem turned out, and there isn't any way to make this any better. It's already perfect! Great job, once again. :D

I like how optomistic this poem is. And it's kind of obvious that this poem is about wanting to travel the world with that speical someone. but just know that its not where you are that matters, just as long as you are together. Just sayin' haha Great work! :D

hm... kind of like that, but also kind of like, it feels like I've already gone on this incredible journey with that person and I enjoyed every step of the way to get to where we are today. But really, poetry is what the reader takes away from it
