Fixing Shattered Glass

I've been battling depression so all my poems have been negative. The boy I was dating asked me to write a poem for him. A positive one. This is what I came up with.

Fixing Shattered Glass

The darkness engulfs me

and I start to get lost

Dead was what I wished to be

all alone in the frost

I begin to fade away

The numb feeling had me bound

I did not want to stay

Until you came around

The warmth in my heart returned

The frost began to melt

How to love again I learned

Love for you is what I felt

Your gentle touch makes me cry

With happy tears my heart flies above

I love the moments when you’re shy

You are everything to me my love
