No specifics are given, but this one seems to take place in the aftermath of an argument. We do not know if the speaker is addressing the other party or meditating on what occurred, but apparently some heated words were exchanged. Now the speaker worries that some of the statements may be true. Clarification is needed before any decision is reached. Yes, it's so terrifying when someone acuses you of being something you pride yourself not to be..even in heated moments. So one ponders if they are that person and how they didn't know that they are. The utter horror and fear of that comment being true is unimaginable. It is true that clarifications should be given but I feel people speak their unfiltered words in such occasions rendering such words even more terrifying.
