An aching heart

Sometimes the only way to know that you can feel is to through a heartache.

My heart aches for you
It aches For the fear, for the pain
for your endless cries in the rain
It aches for your broken smile,
for the hurt you're trying to disguise
It aches for the jokes, for the loud laughs,
all to hide the shadow of sadness that is following you around.

My heart also aches for the world
for the despair, for the screams
for all the uncertainity and unfulfilled dreams
It aches for the harshness,
for the endless injustice and unfairness
It aches for the hunger and broken,
and All the mysery that goes unspoken.

My heart aches for me too,
for the insecurities, and the fear
It aches for the continuous let down and
the hurt that's hard to bear.
It aches for the expectation,
and all the decisions I have to question.

My heart aches darling,
It aches and aches
Not knowing how to remedy itself,
But in a way I am glad
it's the only way I feel the pain,
It's the only way I know I am alive,
It's the only way I feel.

This could be considered a general infection. Hiding your sad feelings to make someone happy, being scared of the world insecurities, feeling unwell with life and its uncertainty.
Bringing all this together could actually make the heart almost tear apart.

It's a big big world, and sometimes we forget how small we are... We can feel helpless and tiny, like a speck amongst a junkyard of troubles and endless horizons of problems, like no matter what our efforts are we are nothing but a splash of paint against a busy picture. But sometimes it's that splash of paint that catches the eye and makes the painting a masterpiece, sometimes that tiny speck is what it takes to scale the reality of the situation and get the work done. Pain is an experience we all have when our minds and bodies are telling us that something is wrong, that something is harming us and we need to find a way to fix it. When one heart in a crowd of millions aches, we know we're alive. We know that something's gone wrong. We know that something must be done, and that if we can't do it alone, we must care enough to make others see.

We can feel numb sometimes and even though pain is not a good feeling, it's almost like a reminder that we can feel something. That we are alive.
