I trusted you,

only you

Was it that easy to leave me

Or did my own perceptions deceive me

Now I sit in the rain

And bleed with pain

What else can I do?

You’re gone

and I forever have to question what I had done.

Ah, betrayal. One of those things that make me want to use the actual meaning of the phrase "the bane of my existence."

I recently started reading more poems, and this is a well-worded and conservative-in-length one.

Yes, betrayal is one of those things that is hard to get over mostly because we always think we had something to do with the betrayal and we somehow try to find fault in our actionS to find no answers. Thanks for your comment Wathanya!
