I'm Trying To Write A Poem

This is a poem about how I'm scared to talk about and share my faith. My prayer that God will make me bolder. That God is greater.

I’m trying to write a poem

That will mean something

That I could write for the King

And to his people, speak

Speak his message

That matches his word

That they can continue forward

In this journey we’re on

But how can I do that

If I’m such a coward?

I’m sorry father

But I have faith

That you will make me bolder

And I will not be scared

Will this happen?

Will I ever live with abandon?

I guess, you know this fear

Before you went to the cross

You cried out to your father about the cup

But you wanted his will to be done

So you went on

Knowing what was going to happen

But looking at the purpose

You showed boldness

Willingness

Submitfulness

To the Father’s will

Can you give me that?

I seek to be like you

What you went through

That is the reason why I can go on

Why I can be free

And know that no matter what happens to me, physically

I will see you in eternity
