A Poem by Liderien

Moonlight dances like lights of hope

Deceiving the eye with distractions

Sounds of waves crash recusant to creation

Like echoes of distant memories

Time not to cleave to province

Hope of tomorrow fades fast

Generations lost what was purposed

Bringing all good things to the ground

While the world doth perish before our eyes

Deem escaped acrid realities of man

To stand placid to false serenity

The young are eaten alive

Who is master of divinity and lies

But one who seeks for himself?

Take his prodigious hour and see

If he makes it past midnight

Can the cleansing of filth come before dawn?

Does the fate of many lie at the door of the weak

Is all that man hoped forever gone?

Or does the one who holds the key speak

You tell me the truth…

The answer that kills, the life that was lived, the heart that was filled

You tell me the heart…

of the matter to find, the dream that stays, the hope that remains
