Time

Time.
Old times pass.
New times come.
Memories.

I remember we used to have it all.
But now it's just a memory
To be forgotten,
Lost in the past.

Every so often
I look back at what used to be,
You and I taking on the world.
A team.

What happened?
What changed that separated us?
Time.
Time changes things.

I look back.
You and me, united.
You and me, one.
You and me, us.

No one stood in our way.
We were together.
The world was ours.
The rest of the world didn't exist.

Time stood still.
Time flew by.
Time was lost.
I was found.

You were the one.
I trusted you.
I had hope.
Hope that was found after a world with lack of hope.

You found me.
I fell for you.
Things happened.
Time went by.

I lost you.
I'm slowly losing you.
I'm falling, hard.
You're not there to catch me.

You turned the other cheek.
Moved on.
Left me in the dust.
Left me alone.

I'm standing alone,
Wondering where the time went,
Trying to find my way back,
Back into life.
