Do I Wait?

Do I Wait?

A Poem by Lici

Don't forget about me, I'm still waiting.
Holding on to a love that's fading.
In the shadows of your mind I shall remain,
until one day, fate makes a change.
My heart is crumbling, I fill with sorrow.
Do I stay or do I follow?
Don't you see the pain I'm in?
The light in my eyes getting dim.
Can I believe you when you tell me,
That you'll love me, forever and always?
The days get longer as the silence grows.
Do you still love me? I must know.
My world is becoming cold and lonely.
This empty feeling holding coldly.
My hopes and dreams are slowly fading.
For you, do I continue waiting?
My future with you far more distant.
I wonder if it's even in existance.
So I ask myself, do I stay or do I go?
Call me naive, call me a fool.
But I will wait forever for you.
Because my love for you is true.

The phrase "this empty feeling holding coldly" is confusing. You might try adding a state of being very somewhere. Other than that its a great poem. I can almost physically feel the conflict, the tugging.
