that red cherry typa love

that red cherry typa love

A Poem by Lehlohonolo Lichaba

Dear red cherry
I want the kinda love that will leave me smiling alone
as if i can catch your smell and touch the scent of
your smile
That kind of love that breeds jealously not because i
don't trust you but because i believe you and I were
molded from the same clay, so its hard, close to
impossible to imagen me without you.
That kinda love that will turn me to steroids just so
that i can be strong enough to uplift you
that kinda love that will deprive me speech find my
self mumbling not cos im out of words but cos the
word to describe your beauty has not even been
invented.
And if you were to leave me i would lay next to you
gladly repeat the tragedy of romeo and juliet and
hope we are reicanated as Phoenix so that we can
rise from our ashes to a life of eternity together.
Now I aint trying to flirt or butter you up just simply
stating the fact that you the one whose name was
engraved in the stones for me ages ago before we
both even took shape or took life through our
mothers.
But bbe i hate you
i hate you truly
i hate that You make me wanna breakout and not
even my fifty shades can blind me from your taste.
Hate that you make me a better person
I hate that the rise of the sun each day plants a
thought of you in my mind and the rest of the day is
just a period to make it grow and make it stronger
and when it sets you the only thing that occupies my
mind .
I hate that even in dark times you still shine like you
were made from the sun itself, like god tOok his time
to perfect you so you can match your true nature of a
godess.
Through that all.
Mother of my offspings
i love you
