cold fire burning

cold fire burning

A Poem by Lehlohonolo Lichaba

Can you speak silence?
My moment of silence always follows my moment of violence
Zero tolerance the world fits in my lens
Fists clenched, thirst quenched after reading some will have screens munched

Like a lightning reality strikes,
tears on my face nightmares on my bedside
like a ripper, darkness creeps the night
and fear is my master let it conquer and consume my light

Hand waving goodbye as if I'm deleting the past
Life is a test and I have it with distinctions passed
Responsible for the charcoal in hell
Still not sure if Satan really retired as an ang-el
It will be a pun to say he was fired

play with life close my eyes and roll the dice
as i search for the truth in this pile of lies
rich in mind with knowledge wealth of the wise
create heaven on earth im an architect of life

I'm blamed for adding a lot of Lot's wife to the wound
All this while the Lord tuned
Man was made from mud I made mud
Was still a toddler sitting on a flying mat
When you are the best and you pass all the tests they say you mad

unlike mist to the sun i will not fade away
i have the world in my palm drop it let them fall away
i keep coming like Monday  inevitable like everyday.
