My tomorrow

My tomorrow

A Poem by Lehlohonolo Lichaba

It is settled now,

It has been decided,

Not as easy as it sounds,

But I’m at peace I have no doubts.

Flip the page start a new tale,

Yes, yesterday was fate but tomorrow is never late,

Trails of the past starts to fade,

Future I see so bright I wear my shades.

I have been busy burning bridges,

There is no turning back, no time to look back,

It’s Time to let go, like a river let it flow,

Slowly but surely (no hurry) I walking away.

It is settled now,

As I burn my bridges down,

Starting a new tale,

Giving birth to a new beginning, this is fate

THIS IS FATE

Your use of combact images work very well in this piece and gives this poem a distinct cadence which I can both hear and read too.
