No body understands

No body understands

A Poem by Lehlohonolo Lichaba

Nobody understands.

I hide my marks behind a smile,

But deep down I’m empty,

It’s a deep dark hole I can’t fill

Sometimes I wish I could call out,

Call out the ground to open and swallow me,

Or even reach down my throat,

Reach down my throat and rip my heart out

Nobody understands.

We both smile of course,

Only wish my smile was as legit as yours,

Instead it’s a mask I put on to cover the sadness

Sometimes I wish I could call out,

Call out a lightning to strike me down

Because now I’m just a vessel

Happiness is no more.

Nobody understands.

 I’m slowly fading away.

Bit by bit drifting away.

But nobody understands.

wow, you've a good grammar and good points once again... this is great,
Low-lee I can relate to you when you said nobody understands... but not all of course... There are people who understands you but they're quite nonexistent because they wont reveal their presence to you but good write anyway...
I'm looking forward to more of your writing (:

I like this poem but my favorite stands >:D

I like how it flowed very nice and seem to still be catchy without rhyme. A really sad poem but it's good how you manage to form your ideas into a solid poetic foundation. :D

Hahaha... now I'm reading it again while in the middle of reviewing it X3 This poem is personally attractive to me as I can relate :)

Call out a lightning to strike me down= (I don't know why but it doesn't sound as good) you can try and removing the a :)

Sorry for my obsession with the little things

Good poem, please keep writing :)
