Starving Normalization (2012)

It's been awhile. I thought I should share one of my favourite poems I wrote in the year 2012

A chanced encounter to experience something real;

within arm's length, I grasped your reality reel.

With nothing to ask, expected nothing;

yet somehow I managed to pull you in.

Foreign emotions, they kept on coming,

sooner than later, I made you my queen.

I enslaved myself to my affection,

my subconsciousness kept growing so thin.

Depth of my past became our affliction,

now I see nothing but my future sin.

Nevertheless, I kept my devotion

and just gave in to my lecherous greed.

I noticed our bond of imperfection,

I must realize the most tragic deed.

The day has come for me to actualize

plans I set out to grant my selfish need.

Feelings are gone, I just now realize;

to set things right, I must make you bleed.

A chanced encounter: I experienced something real;

within arm's length, I took your reality reel.

Author's Note

Spoiler Alert: someone died in this poem. there's a psychopath too. try reading between the lines and discover a tragic end to this story.

I liked the poem. Filled with powerful emotion.

The above lines were my favorite. The strong description allowed the reader to feel the need. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
