the pauper

the pauper

A Story by Kamari's

A girl painting in her room, she heard her mother call her down stairs.
"Lynette !" She went to the kitchen her mother was making chilli.
Her mother smiled "Lynette will you run to the store to pick up some tea to make for dinner I forgot to this morning."

Lynette nodded and took the ten dollars her mother handed her. She walked to the store s, she loved walking it gave her a chance to listen to music in peace.
Lynette, got to the store and saw a fancy truck in the parking lot.
Lynette walked in and the old store clerk Mr.Sam's waved hello she smiled at the old man and went to go get the tea bags.

Lynette walked to the isle, and saw a tall boy getting some macaroni on the other side. Lynette smiled and realised the tea had been shelved at the top of the isle. Lynette was a short girl she tried to tip toe to reach yet could only barley touch it.
The boy turned and saw Lynette struggle he handed the box too her.

Lynette blushed "Thank you." The boy looked at her "You have blue paint on your arm." Lynette looked and realized she did have paint on her everywhere.
Lynette smiled "Yes I paint." The boy grinned "why ?" Lynette looked at him "Its fun." The boy chuckled and a wealthy older man came down the isle "Jasper have you gotten your snack?"

Jasper nodded and continued with him father , he saw the girl pay the clerk and leave. He looked at his father "Pop DoD people really paint for fun?" His father looked at him but his phone rang. His father answered "Hello? Yes Mr.Williams yes ill have the report in tomorrow."

He hung up his phone "Jasper, yes it is a pass time for those who have time." Kaspersky continued to shop with his father having to stop when his father's phone rang. Jasper wondered what a pretty girl like that was doing wasting her time with a pointless painting.

Lynette gave her mother the tea "How was the shopping sweetie?" "Good Mr.Sam's said I could babysitt his niece Edith Saturday ." Her mother smiled , Lynette stood there "Mom there was a boy who did not know the joy of painting."

Her mother smiled "That is the sorrow of a rich man my dear." Lynette nodded and went back to her painting wondering how awful her life would be without her passion for art.
