The class was quiet , they were taking a test over the class room rules.

Adalynn was focused on the test because it was worth one hundred points. Adalynn looked up and saw Mistress Myer looking out of the door window she had a look of worry on her face.

Adalynn raised her hand to get Mistress Myers attention, luckily the Mistress notices and walked over to Adalynns desk. "Yes Miss. Sunday what do you need ?" Adaylnn looked at the old Mistress "Mistress Myer , is something wrong?"

The Mistress frowned "No Miss. Sunday now return to you test and do not ask anything unless it's about the test, you know it is unwelcomed in this institution to interrupt with unimportant questions." Adalynn felt ashamed "Yes Mistress Myer I apologize."

Adalynn returned to her test as the Mistress walked back to her desk and heard a snicker from one of the other girls. The Mistress looked out onto the class "Miss. Bryson do not make me scold you as well , that would be your fifth one this week and you know headmistress Vincent would not be happy to call your parents."

Julie said sorry for her interruption and returned to her test. Adalynn looked on her paper it was the last question a open response on the society of the institute and how it runs. Adalynn smiled this was a easy question so she wrote " The institute was made to school the children off the world properly of edict, Education, work, family, how to interact proper lyrics with others, marriage, friends, and soon to designate the roles of every person in the Institute, and to teach the children on how the Institute is here to keep the world from going corrupt as it once was in the Dark ages."

Adalynn put down her pencil and looked at the clock it was almost lunch time. She looked around she was the second to last to be done they all waited for Fiona to get down with her test, she usually was the last to get done so, of course this was not out of place.

Fiona put down her pencil and the Mistress walked around the classroom and picked up the papers and pencils. Mistress made it back to her desk and began to write on the board "Now that we are done with the test let us go over our next section Marriage."

I sighed I and the rest of the girls where at the age the Institute paired us with a boy to begin courting and then to be married. "Now how is a partner chosen Miss. Xavier?"

I looked over at Olivia who was again in dream land "Oh uh.... they pair a boy and girl based on personality test, academic scores, and positive traits so the pair can create a superior offspring to attend the institute and make the world be better."

Mistress smiled "Correct." Olivia sighed in relief "Now what is the rule of divorce Miss. Carson?" Jennifer perked up "In the case of the pair is not succeeding the institute will resign a partner and raise the children under a successful match of parents."

Mistress nodded and the bell rang. "Class you may go to lunch." We all got up to go to lunch but the Mistress added one more thing "Girls you will also receive a pink slip at lunch and break on who you will be paired with to court." Adalynn felt a shiver down her spine she forgot today was pairing day.
