Percillia, of age 20 now only, sat in the library on a red oak window sill accompanied by her purple pillow and her ash gray blanket that fell against the orange curtains and white marble tile. Percillia had grown into a beautiful woman with pixie short black hair and her face splashed with freckles. Her oval face complemented her wonderful eyes which were the shade of the blue sea in the morning light.

Her mother, a woman of 43 now, was worried for her daughter for she was of marrying age, yet she had turned down every suitor. Now the youngest of her girls, Beth, was married this left Percillia the only one out of seven girls unwed. The mother crossed the floor to see her daughter again looking out onto the farmers' market and listening to the trains.

"Darling I worry you know. Beth has just been wed to John, maybe you should find a suitor," said her mother. Percillia only shrugged which made her mother leave in a storm of anger when she saw a man of Percillia's age walking across the road to a neighbor's house. She watched him and she realized as she glanced up that Percillia was smiling down to the young man. The mother laughed because now she had found a man that made her daughter show emotion.

Now to only get him to see her daughter which would not be hard since the mother was on the fourth floor and the man was now out on the road to the farmers' market. She ran to catch up. As she snuck up behind him she threw an apple at his head and hid as he looked back. Then he froze. He saw Percillia in the window and the look on her face was a smile. He was sure it was for him and he vowed to himself to marry her the next day.

I find it odd that she can see a farmers' market and hear trains. Where is her home?
You make the scene of the mother tricking the man into looking up very fun.
