A Fairground Poem

A Fairground Poem

A Poem by Liamesq

Candy floss is a soft sugar-ball of pink delight,

An explosion of sickening sweet sugar fizzing in my mouth.

The waltzer is a dizzying whirlpool of rotating metal,

A gut-wrenching, stomach-churning ride of nauseating pleasure.

The Ferris wheel, a giant’s eye, surveying the grounds,

In a loop of confusion as the world goes topsy-turvy.

The mascots pocket-sized or colossal,

Try to make the little children chuckle and giggle.
