Psychological Oppression

Psychological Oppression

A Poem by Liamesq

Before, I used to beat you
Told others to do the same
At the sight of me your skin would go a deathly milky hue
And then I'd start to throw my punches, but it's your spirit I'd go to maim
I don't think it is wrestling when you wouldn't fight me back
Just lay there screaming, crying, squealing
And as my fist made impact *crack*
When I'd finish we'd leave you laying there writhing, moaning, reeling
Didn't stay to pick up the mess or see you stagger home
With bloodied cheek bones, an empty wallet and your keys they've gone and all
I'd just stolen your phone
Your pants are drenched with urine, and your cuts you blame them on a fall
Your parents don't believe you, because they're not inexperienced fools
They've seen you in this state, black and blue
And heard the abusive calls
'You're being bullied' bluntly said
By your folks and friends together
Because no longer does the phrase 'you're dead'
Only get you under the weather
It scares you and lingers
And you can't tell what to do
Because you'll know they'll break your fingers
If you say what you've been through
So sit there crying day and night
In a dark and cold bedroom
Suspended in your blinded fright
In a world you see filled only with gloom
