Helium Thoughts

Helium Thoughts

A Poem by Liamesq

I write to express
The emotions my mouth aims to suppress
Because its the only way through
Issues to which I'm hardly new
I've had them all before
Been on a boat with no oar
But doodling poems is the path
I can walk safely on when in the dark
I've had some bug obstacles in my meagre seventeen years
And people gathered around me seem to have misunderstanding ears
So I took them to the page
To combat my unhealthy rage
Because when my head starts to spin around
Clichéd, I know, I'm emotionally always off the ground
The pen, however, seems to know
And from the nib such pieces to flow
The black ink stains the plain white leaf
And slowly helps to deal with confusion and grief
Bad things transfer from my worn out mind
And ideas and scribbles visibly bind
Scatters of concepts form words I can scribe
And in them I find a common theme, a particular living vibe
Which floats away into the open sky
Leaving me on the earth to look bald and think 'Oh my'
