The Fireplace And Ember Argument

The Fireplace And Ember Argument

A Poem by Liamesq

Why do I write in gloomy prose?
Because its easier I suppose
When there's so much easy inspiration
One needs little imagination
But I should stop and look up a bit more
And reach the end of this doomed folklore
For its high time I smiled and cheered up full stop
Because I'm not the one up for the chop
I live, I breath, experience, survive
In a pretty decent, and fluid little life
I coast along whilst others have issues
And if I see someone crying, I shouldn't encourage it, just offer tissues
Granted there are obstacles I have had to beat
But I sit here while others have nothing to eat
So who am I to complain ? I'd do well to remember
That while I have a fireplace, others barely have an ember
