Humanity's mistakes...

Humanity's mistakes...

A Poem by Liamesq

Now...the sweeping winds call out nothing but a vagabond’s name.

It hisses in light of mankind’s abusive nature,

and comes out of hiding only to remind us of our misdeeds.

What we did was wrong.

What does it say of a species which moulds its ways around the nearest disaster?

Silver-tongued politicians and stubborn thinkers a’plenty

But where were all the do-ers eh?

The perversion of reality dripping down the lips of liars, cheats and riddling idiots.

With too much time on their hands,

turning to the sick adventures which lure them into the deepest recesses and rabbit holes of dark imagination.

And yet...

And yet these are the people we allow to have a foothold in our societies,

trudging their feet in the writhing dirt of logic and morality.
