The Past is Always There

The Past is Always There

A Poem by Shroud
"

This is about someone who lost a loved one and their new feelings of grief. In memorium: Emma Mackenzie Konkle

"
"No matter where you go"
"No matter what you do"
"The past is always there"
"You can't escape it, can you?"

"The people left behind"
"The memories stored away"
"You can't forget them now"
"Nor any other day"

"No matter what the pain is"
"No matter what has taken place"
"Just remember good times"
"Because it can never be erased”

"I know how you feel"
"I lost something too"
"And when I lost her"
"I felt worse than you"

"I still remember her face"
"And the way she always laughed"
"But now she's in a better place"
"I’m floating on my raft”

“All Alone...”

Let me know about the rhyme scheme (ex: if it seems too forced or not)
