TREES

TREES

A Poem by Liam Nealey

They sing their quiet songs.
Red leaves upon the throngs.
Ever to stand watch,
Ever to let be,
Such things as you and I will ever-never be.

I thought this was superbly done. You make me see a tall, strong, red-leafed tree rustling in the wind. Thank you!

About
I write for myself, things that I like to read. However, I welcome reviews! I find it very interesting how a poem can take on a life of its own, how it can gain more meaning than it was written with, .. more..
