Roses

Roses

A Poem by ♡Moon Child♡
"

hee hee I had fun with this one. Enjoy! ^^

"

Here I stand outside your door

Six roses I have, no less, no more

Each one is different, in color and meaning

Each one represents, in my heart, a different feeling

First one is yellow, happy and bright

It stands for friendship during day and night

Friendship that endures through bad times and good

It stays forever, like friendship should

The next is pink, lovely and sweet

The color for when new lovers meet

The blush that comes at a simple look

The color I wore when mine heart thou took

The third is red, a passionate color

It burns and smolder, lively like fire

Makes my skin tingle, makes my heart beat

Especially now when we’re about to meet

The one after that is blue as the sky

True love that comes to those who try

The love that those lucky few do find

The love that has taken over my mind

The fifth is white, the color of snow

The love that comes to those who know

That patience makes love just that much sweeter

The feeling that this will endure forever

The last rose is black as night

Eternal love that comes to those who fight

For each other and their right to love

Love that is blessed by the angels above

I raise my hand to knock on your door

My heart unwilling to wait anymore

I hear you coming, the door opens to the night

You gasp and hug me, holding me tight

I offer the roses, trying to speak

But then you look at me and our lips meet

You already know the reason why

So I give up and don't even try

I'm swept up off my feet and up the stairs

Straight to the bed, ignoring the chairs

I remind you of the pure rose, the color of white

Tonight is not our wedding night

You kiss my hand, kneel to the ground

I'm sure you can hear my heart pound

You speak the four words, pull out a ring

That is when my heart starts to sing

It sings of a love that will last

All former suitors now of the past

I am yours and you are mine

We will be together until the end of time

really nice poem...but what is the 4 words?
"marry me my love?"

i like this part
"I remind you of the pure rose, the color of white
Tonight is not our wedding night"
it shows that it is not that you dont want it, like a protest would have done
but rather that you want to love to remain pure and to keep it as something special...
