Summer LoveA Poem by ♡Moon Child♡This is dedicated to the man who stole my heart...I lay out on the deck, eyes half-closed... Daydreaming of days soon to come... My love is coming for me soon... The cool water laps at the shore, calling me... It slides over my feet, gently pulling, beckoning... I slip into the waves, the water soothing my burning skin It burns not only from the heat, but from passions unsatisfied... My empty arms long for my lovers embrace... I close my eyes and imagine him there with me... Swimming through the silk-smooth water I slowly stand, my cheeks salty wet. Are they tears? I no longer know... I miss him so, my body, my heart... They ache with longing... My lips are cold. They haven't been kissed in so long. I am waiting... Hurry to me, my love... This summer is ours. We must make new memories... Together... Come with me! We'll dive through the waves, fingers intertwined... Two halves of one whole... Complete. © 2009 ♡Moon Child♡Author's Note
