Sparrow in stormA Poem by Lia ColumbusSleeping through storm, what else could I wish for!
The garden of cherry blossoms
And lavender spirited breeze Wait at the dawn of storm To spare them if he please Hold strong their honey fort Together, all the Bees of hive But the wings are blown away Of the butterfly too naive There, in the bark of oak A small sparrow sings The weight of worlds On her feeble wings To reconcile with morn she pleads the night Only such promise will keep Her eyes from losing sight Her voice spirals in howling wind Slowly she shall hope Fall asleep in dark And dream of scattered rose. © 2020 Lia ColumbusAuthor's Note
