Part III Section I

 

Why does it always take us so long to get ready? There are two showers and four girls, surely we could manage getting ready within an hour. “Can I borrow your bronzer, Zara?” Morgan asks flipping her hair back and slowly applying some mascara. “Sure, but hurry up. We’ve been getting ready for 3 hours! The clubs gonna closed by the time we get there!” I reply rolling my eyes. “Relax,” says Jenna “you’re always stressing out over nothing. We’ll be ready in 10 minutes.”

 

Ringing from downstairs catches my attention, quickly running down the marble steps I reach for the phone just as the person hangs up. Going through the miss calls I smile as I see the name “Kyle.” Pressing call I feel the butterflies in my tummy acting like they’re on red bull. “Hey beautiful,” Kyle shouts, “how has your vacation been so far?” “It’s been great,” I shout back so that he could hear me over the loud music in the background “we’re getting ready to go out.”

“Have a great time and behave, I know how you get when you’re out with your girls.” Hearing him laugh made my butterflies feel like they were on speed “I’ve got to go pull Danny off the DJ stand, he’s trying to persuade the DJ to let him spin.” He yells. “Okay,” I reply smiling “talk to you soon.

 

Danny was so funny, he always managed to get himself into the most unusual and silly situations. Heaven knows how he came up with the stuff! He and Kyle went to University together to study event management. A course they both enjoyed, they did events for lingerie and got the dancers to model for them and advertising free guest list and drinks for all the ladies who showed up. This is how I came to meet them both. It was out first year and we all showed up to the opening. This is where the university allows the students to meet and get to know each other before the academic year started.

 

“Let me guess, that was Kyle” Morgan says rolling her eyes, “you shouldn’t be calling him when you’re on a girls holiday, it’s a headache free party zone for the entire time we’re here. Besides, you don’t know what he’s getting up to.”

“I’ve known him for 5 years, it’s not like I’ve just met him, and you know I really like him, things are actually starting to work out for us.” I reply.

 

“I just think you shouldn’t rush into things. We’ve all known Kyle for a long time, and his job being so glamorous, partying until God knows when, and being around all those models and A-class snobs isn’t doesn’t declare a man who’s ready for a serious relationship,” Morgan explains, “I just don’t want you to get hurt that’s all.”

"I know you don’t, but you have to let me decided what what’s best for me. Anyway, he’s too busy baby-sitting Danny to look at other women” I reply smiling at the expression on Morgan’s face. Danny dated Anastasia for a few moths, and a crazy time at that. Morgan couldn’t help conjuring up an image of Danny running around the club naked and pinches women’s bums as Kyle gives him the; Behave or you’re never coming out with me again look.
