Two Face

Ever have that one person who, on one side, is full of life and acceptance and then has that darker side who tears your hopes and dreams apart? Welcome to my world..

I know of this face
Where one side is full of beautiful grace,

While the other side cheats and lies
And morphs into distrust before my eyes.

To some, its disturbed angle
Gets every word and cry tangled.

Then the other view shows its tender heart
And trust in its honesty never falling apart.

I see this particular face
That is beautiful in many ways,

But has this eery dark side
That makes everyone cringe and hide.

Looking from afar, it appears to be keen and wise,
But only some can see it's all a disguise.

One view reveals itself as a friend.
The other displays a dastardly fiend.

I'm friends with this face;
The one who, on one side, seems out of place

And where the other gives a sense of security.
The side that brings out it's own purity.

It's appearance was trustworthy in my eyes,
But now it's filling its jar of lies.

Sometimes I question on staying with this mask,
But its darker side makes me afraid to ask.
