Don't Leave

why did she leave?

why did she go?

she was always so happy

for that frown never showed 

but that smile was fake

and that laugh was a joke 

for no one ever saw

the pain when she woke 

tossing and turning 

as she tried to go to sleep

but with his face on her mind

all she could do was weep 

because inside her dreams

lived the man she still loves

with that smile and heart

and all of the things she wished to be part of 

she would pray everyday 

that he would love her the same way

but when things started to change

slowly she felt him slipping away 

he made her feel loved

he completed her life

she felt he was the one 

but just hoped he wasn't done.
