Expectation

Expectation

A Poem by Justshay
"

This poem was written for something I experienced all through life

"
Patience, unwavering and strong.
Been there since the beginning fighting to belong

Proving my loyalty proud and true, but held up to expectation constantly changing to please you

Human we are, imperfect and fragile
We will make mistakes in our lives, causing us to adapt and be agile

Why the sudden blowout? Why the sudden change?

Walking on eggshells to your discomfort and unwillingness to compromise and rearrange

This girl is trying to be simple and carefree
Living life to the fullest, and being who I intended to be

So keep your expectations to a minimum, just keep them to yourself
I can write them all down in a book called "Failure" and leave it on the shelf

Who are you to judge? Who are you to decide?

Last time I checked you are not perfect.  Stop pretending you're not this way, just take your entitlement and cast it aside.
But I will no longer accommodate your imprudent ways,
I will not budge, I will not give in, you will not receive standing ovation or praise.
