Strawberry fields

Strawberry fields

A Poem by Lexyeff

"It's not my fault!" you scream.
As you're drowning in self-pity.

Ever the monster; life swallowing you up, going over your spine with its teeth.

had you been under the wheel of that car, the tracks of that train, the end of that rope

but you're the last thing that flickers over her eyelids before she falls into an untouched slumber

reality is but a glass wall you can pound on

breaking free merely measures up to an illusion.

About
Hello fellow writers, I normally use writing as an outlet. When I'm going through something I convert it into a metaphorical piece. I've been told it's 'different', but I hope some of you guis.. more..
