Humans.

Humans.

A Poem by Lexyeff

life is a funny little thing. We're given premeditated ideas to submit to. Shown how things are "meant to be". What is approved and what is punished. We're all here to play a certain part, and well.
Much like the hamster running inside of a plastic ball day-to-day, life doesn't differ much. Unless you get to the concept of achievements. That's right, one specie rewarding one of the same for being better at something. Hurts to think we all fall for it; ranking each other among multiple traits. As if its just, in any way. Fragments of us being untouched. Some needing more than others. Such as; attention or acknowledgement and what rich feelings those are. Then there's fear. The aching thought that something is stronger than you. More than your pore, mortal frame can handle. A very idea that reaches inside of your brains inner most vulnerable area. And scavenges for that which could break you.  Annihilation is a heavy word but so is the feeling of anxiety bearing its weight on your chest. Emotions will do strange things to us. They are the fall through of irrational actions, if we are to be honest with ourselves

I truly enjoyed this piece. I understood what you were saying perfectly. There were parts that I had to reread because of your phrasing, but other than the rough flow, it was quite nice. Keep writing!

Being human. A wide open subject.

I like the example of us running in circle not knowing we are caged and controlled. I like your poetry. Had the instinct of a deep thinker with proper vision of our world. I like the ending also. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Hello fellow writers, I normally use writing as an outlet. When I'm going through something I convert it into a metaphorical piece. I've been told it's 'different', but I hope some of you guis.. more..
