Mint

Mint

A Poem by Lexyeff

It feels as though I am propped up in a chair
hands tightly tied behind me
a looming stranger tries to pry my heart from my chest
sticking each fingernail into the circular incision
meticulously separating the two organs
a minty sensation emanates from within my larynx
my insides agape
the frigid hand wedges at the man-made cut-out
I crack apart further with each fluid, minuscule movement
color abandoning me as I attempt to look away from present horrors
sucking in a sharp breath as the skin of my stomach adheres to my ribcage
calves tense and straining against premeditated restrictions
I am bound to this corrupt invasion
all that remains is the un-recognizable figure and this tiny box of a room
barely lit, the air is icy
I inhale only the purpose of my destruction
alas the last solid, humanized thing in me being removed
leaving only an unsustainable corpse behind

About
Hello fellow writers, I normally use writing as an outlet. When I'm going through something I convert it into a metaphorical piece. I've been told it's 'different', but I hope some of you guis.. more..
