Down the Rabbit HoleA Poem by ShiikaDon't know about the title yet; just something I kinda thought of and stuck with. Internalization of other's problems/emotions can stir me to write, so that's where this came from.
Come find me, if you wish.
I won't force you, my dear. Just be warned, for what I hide, I also seem to fear. Enter into darkness, The cold isolation. Feel all the rage, Sadness and frustration. Go straight through Pain, Make a left at Despair, Make a right at Self-doubt, And then you're there. You'll find me in Self-Pity, Webs of confusion littered round. Hear my silent screams Where my mind is found. Sit with me, if you want. Sight-see, if you please. Just know that there's a reason This space holds only me. Don't get too, close; You might get sucked in. I don't want anyone, But I do want a friend. Leave me- no, stay! Can't you see that I'm torn? Battered and bruised Due to my own storm. Don't hate me, please. I know it's a mess, But one day I'll get out. Know that I'm doing my best. Someday, I'll make a skylight, Let the Rays of Hope in. But right now, just let me sit here And breathe until then.
