A Talk with GodA Poem by ShiikaAnother poem from Creative Writing. This one has two include two levels of language. Hope you enjoy. Jesus loves you <3 :)She lay on her bed, Her head engulfed by the pillow Drenched with tears and drool. She cried, Wishing to never see tomorrow. She was tired of the taunts, The teasings, the isolation. The insults, the guilt, The memory, the frustration. She had given herself to A boy not worthy of her time. Turns out he was just using her- O, how she regretted that night! She reached for the knife under her pillow, Ready to make contact with her wrist. She wanted to end it all that night. She heard a voice: “Why are you doing this?” She scoffed. “Like You don’t know. I messed up, bad, and everyone knows. You don’t even tolerate this Yourself. It’d be better if I just go.” “Is that what you think I want? I love you, and I want to forgive you.” “I don’t deserve it. I deserve only death.” “Then you haven’t heard what I did for you yet. I died so you could be forgiven. I bled so you could have life. I did this to prove I love you. So won’t you please put down that knife?” She paused with her head bowed, Holding the instrument of her “liberation.” She dropped it, then raised her head, And they continued their conversation.
