Dear God

Dear God

A Chapter by Alexa Tarvid

Oh Dear God,

This world is plagued by mental disease,

Thieves stealing what is left of humanity,

Selfishness and pride grow on trees,

While narcissistic thoughts sprout up like weeds,

Dear God,

Please give us hope,

Please protect those small dirty feet,

Wash what you can from our filthy bodies,

Save what you can of our torn souls,

Oh Dear God,

No child should have to watch their mother die,

Not after how hard they’ve tried,

Please Lord,

Keep our hearts alive,

Dear God,

So many have given up,

And those of us who have not lost hope

Are left to pick up the pieces,

Oh Dear God,

Help us save the world.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can you see her through the glass?
It’s cold under the finger tips,
But the chill emanates not from the hands
But her heart,
Such a chilling beauty she is,
Looks as if she was chipped from an arctic heaven
With such an ice-like expression,
So there she stands,
In all her beauty and wonder,
An angel not from this world,
And so terribly and brutally scorned,
By the hearts of the uncaring and cold,
We look at her
From behind this frosty glass,
Wishing to have our own,
Almost as if she were just some precious stone,
We merely pass like observers do,
No words of comfort or questions to speak,
And a single tear roles down the angel’s cheek,
She’s crying for us,
For the sake of humanity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Please help me!

Have you seen this man?

I fear he has stolen something from me,

Have you seen him?

He is carrying my other wing,

I cannot fly with only one

And I desperately need to get home,

He plucked it right from its place,

Forgive me for my tears,

But I need to find this man,

Have you seen him?

The wing you see,

I desperately need it,

It is no longer a heavenly white,

But a sorrowful black,

It will be like that until we get home,

But I can’t get home without it,

Without my other wing,

Please,

Tell me,

Have you seen him?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She moves,
Mistress of the Sun,
A Lady of Fire,
Every breath she takes
Gives her strength,
Her arms spread toward the stars
As the flames of her body
Lick selfishly at the sky,
She is what every man wants,
But cannot touch without a burn left behind,
Such a dangerous beauty,
With a dance like no other,
Her body burns from the inside out,
Her hips sway
Taking on the beat of a hunting snake,
But she is much deadlier than any animal,
She represents every action taken in revenge,
Her dance takes the shape of every want,
Every desire,
She is,
She is the Lady of Fire.
