Such a-

Such a-

A Poem by Alexa Tarvid

Such a pure warmth

In a damp cold place,

The shiver begins at my spine

And crawls to the tips of my fingers,

But it isn't long before your arms are around me,

Such a beautiful warmth,

Such an abandoned place,

The loneliness could sink any heart,

Any spirit,

But as I stand here,

I feel you near,

Letting me see the beauty and the peace

Of it just being you and me,

Such wonderful abandoned place,

Such a vast night sky,

The size can overwhelm any mind,

Any broken human being,

But I see your hand in each star,

Each breath of cold night breeze,

The size no longer frightening

But magnificent,

Such a glorious night sky,

Such an unknown love,

Taking that first step,

That first leap,

Can frighten anyone,

Make them nervous,

But at the top of the cliff,

I feel you all around me,

So close to my heart,

As I am close to yours,

You hold me,

Spreading a warmth to get rid of the chill,

Showing me beauty through your eyes,

Letting me know that I am never alone,

Such a-

Beautiful,

Wonderful,

Magnificent,

Glorious,

Such a-

Humbling love.
