Screams and Laughter

Screams and Laughter

A Poem by Lexie James

Spinning, turning round and round

If I stop I'll just look down

The fear of heights is too much to bear

I can't go anywhere

Screams and laughter, childrens smiles

I feel like a silly child

Close my eyes and pray to God

Why am I a silly sod?

Hold my breath and count to three

I feel the water under me

A strong warm breeze, I can't see

A water ride is under me

My tummy feels oh so tight

What an amazing flight

I turn to look at the ride I took

I wish I stayed home and read a book
