Conflict

Conflict

A Poem by Lexie James
"

Was inspired by my uncle. Having heard the awful story of the war in our home country.

"

Fishing in the sea

With the sun shining down on me

My friend speaks playfully

In my language quietly

Troube's coming

It's very near

Guns are fired

Everywhere

My auntie hides me

Beneath my bed

A man comes in

And shouts off his head

I hear a gun shot

So close by

My brothers voice

Has lone goodbye

Silent am I

A child of light

Conflict between

Friends for life

Greed and anger

Corupts this world

Now our country's split

It's a different world

Thank you Lexi, for another sensational
writing.
Peace ? The question of our world and time.
What is peace, is it being servile, accepting the
dictates of selfstyled superiors, is it the victory
over our fear, is it Self Actualization in the face
of insurmountable force ?
What is peace and how to achieve it are questions
that are easily answered by simplistic minds and
you do not go there, instead you have drawn a
picture of the terror inflicted by those who would
rain horrible consequences on those who would
opose them. Your writing is dramatic and true,
waking us to the danger ever-present.

A great story, well told.

Thank you,

A very powerful message indeed... peace sells but who's buying? a saying I have tattooed on me cause it seems the world leaders have nothing better to do then bully each other. That then spills onto all of the countrymen who do the same to their neighbors... nice work.
